I Love You More Than Being Seventeen

So after I finished this guy I couldn't just not paint the other four. So it turned into a mini series. I didn't want them to be just plain portraits, so I played around with texture, most notably with their clothing. I'm thinking about doing other bands...Maybe.

Night and Day

The other day I impulsively bought some pretty nice pens. I want to start drawing a lot more. I've started to look at a lot of pen drawings from different people and kinda got inspired. I want to concentrate on pen and ink for a while, but I have a couple paintings that I've already started. So I guess I'll try doing both.

This drawing was done for my drawing class I took a couple semesters ago. It's the same drawing, with different lighting. It was a 20 minute portrait on newsprint paper, done with a pen.

Someone Wake Up The Green Day Guys

I found a pretty big stash of water color paints in my room not too long ago, and I have been trying them out ever since. I've never really been too into water color. I think it's probably because it frustrates me. I like blended colors. Leaving noticeable brush strokes in paintings is something I don't really do. The first couple pieces I tried doing were bad, but I stuck with it. I've been doing portraits, which is probably one of the hardest things to do with water color. So far this has been the one that has come out best. It's a present for my younger brother. I finally finished it the other day. I think I'm going to try and paint the other four members....we'll see.

Also...Goodbye September.
